Who doesn't know what you mean when you say endline? Do people really not know?

I played soccer and I am a big fan, but I am confused by "byline" and "touchline". "Sideline" and "goal line" were the terms I grew up on as a player. Hard to adjust now and I am sure I would guess wrong much of the time.
