And high school football is the same.
See in my opinion, the coaches are far and above more "behaved" and more technicals are called against coaches who cross the line in the NBA rather than the college level. As far as the players, you're right in that they're allowed to get away with more, but then again, that's true of any professional level vs. amateur.

Never sat in the first couple of rows behind an NBE team bench, have ya? Try it. You might learn some new words.

Been there done that haha...I stand by my statement that NBA coaches are better behaved then their NCAA brethren (specfically at the D1 level). I feel safe in saying Coach K wouldn't be getting away with what he does at Duke then at the professional level.

Good point. And seeing what K gets away with, it's tough to argue that too. Kinda hard imo to be noted as a true champion of sportsmanship when you're whining like a 2-year old over every little call that goes against you.

Talks a good game though....

Naw...JBDuke?....probably...

I think ol' JB has a warning bell on his computer that goes off when anything anywhere is said on the web that ain't at least 106.7% complimentary of his idol. It's a special software program developed in-house at Dook U and only sold to slavering K sycophants.

It's true, it's true....

I played ball at a mid major and my senior year we played at Maryland. Sometime during the first half, I remember standing next to coach Williams and his bench waiting to throw the ball in and hearing Williams drop multiple F bombs to one of the refs about a previous play. And when I say multiple I mean every other word.

The next trip down, Williams proceeded with a "Mother Fuc***" while standing on the court and finally got whacked. He took off his jacket, yelled some more and had to be restrained by his assistants. Maryland ended up winning by over 20, but Williams was still barking at the refs during the second half.

I guess if the court is named after you then you sometimes play by a different set of rules

Hey. That would be like attending a church picnic compared to sitting behind the bench of our big time, Big East, state school, here in the "Land of Steady Habits". He's the highest paid state employee. My tax dollars go toward his salary. With him on television all the time, no wonder people think that we Northeasters are impolite buffoons with no manners.

Doubt it....at least doubt that his salary is more than the amount of revenue his program generates.

Yes. I'm sure that the men's basketball program generates more revenue than his salary, but his salary still comes out of the state's general fund, not the university's athletic department. For 1.6 million a year, which he earns every penny of, maybe he could clean up his language just a little, especially when he, and his team, are on television representing the State of Connecticut.
