Um, if do that, then you're not jumping from one foot onto the same foot, are you? You're landing on two feet, not one.

Yup but you're also still jumping from one foot onto the same foot as part of that 2-foot landing, aren't you?

Semantics only...I'm sureasheck aware that you know the correct rules.

So to make it more stupid.
He's right, landing on two feet includes landing on the original foot, just like dribbling with two hands includes dribbling with the original hand.
Oddly (or not) the rules are opposite for the two situations, in that landing on the one foot after jumping from it is illegal, while dribbling with two hands following a dribble.

You're right. I was out of line. My apologies to everybody.

I really thought he might have been setting up to point out something more subtle about the wording of the rule.

Agree. Just wanted readers to be aware of the strict wording of NFHS R4-44-2(a3) and 4-44-2(b2). I know that Scappy is.
