Doug Shows

Must be honest, I have a man crush on Doug. When I grow up, I want to be like Doug to paraphrase the old Jordan ad.

Seriously, he certainly passes the critical 'eye' test and just looks so smooth out there. Grabbed a few things last night I'd like to work on in camps this summer.

Dark horse for the final?

Watching last night, I was thinking the exact same thing. Great official.

Thumbs up

I really love Dog Shows too, especially the one put on by the Westminster Kennel Club.

Oh wait - you said Doug Shows. Never mind.

This post made me do a quick lookup of the guy and i came here

Doug Shows - College Basketball Referee

this website needs to state that all their stats ARE NOT for that one official but rather for the games that that official has worked. NO WAY he calls 36 fouls per game

Exclamation

Six ejections in 13 seasons! Heck - I do that many in 13 minutes. The guy must be sleeping on the court.

I went to a camp 10-12 years ago, and Doug Shows was a clinician. He was impressive then. I thought at the time that he was a "natural". He never worked high school ball which to me is more impressive than an NBAer who never went to college. He is one of the best.

and that's why you're you (our Mr Stud Muffin - doing eight games on a Saturday, and Ting and tossing great, hard-working, All-American, rule-savvy, knowledgeable, parent/coaches for questioning a call or looking at you wrong) and he's doing NCAA Tourney games!

He did 87 games this yr and looks like he will be moving into Welmer territory shortly..... Good official. Hope he continues to pace himself.

I love watching Ted Valentine work, too. Demonstrative, always moves with a purpose. The incident with Knight 13 years ago didn't exactly hold him back, did it? I always wonder how Valentine and Tom O'Neill get along since O'Neill essentially backed the bus over Valentine that night.

In reference to ending a sentence in a preposition( germane to Chicago) or my unabashed admiration for the aforementioned Mr Show?

From what I hear it was Hightower that would be the alleged perpetrator.
