Scenarios that make you go hmmmm...
Here are some situations to ponder and answer. Only NCAA rules for this one.
5. Review special situations during your pre-game conferences. Here are a few: a. Team A is shooting the first of two free throws. Team B coach is assessed a technical foul after the first free throw. How do you proceed? b. Team A has a throw-in after being awarded the ball because of the AP arrow. B1 kicks the ball after A1 releases the ball on the throw-in. How do you proceed? When is the AP arrow changed to Team B? c. Team A has a throw-in on the baseline after a made basket by Team B. A1 attempts to throw the ball to A2 who is standing on the opposite side of the baseline and out of bounds. The Trail official is hit by the ball, and the ball rolls onto the court. The ball is picked up by B3. You are the Trail official. What do you do? d. B3 is assessed a technical foul. The stoppage of play occurs in a media timeout window. How do you proceed? |

a. Shoot the FT's for the T with the lane clear. Resume at POI with the last FT from the original 2.
b. Kicking violation on B1. A gets another throw-in for the kick. Since the AP throw-in never ended, A retains the arrow. c. When the ball struck the official and went inbounds, it became an inbounds pass. Since it touched something out of bounds before going directly inbounds, violation by A. Throw in for B at the OOB spot. d. No idea. I'd guess take the TO first, then shoot FT's for the T, then POI.
