I have a question

Can somebody tell me why in high school and the NBA you play 4 quarters, but in college, you play two halves. Why is this?

Let's hope that Mark Padgett doesn't read this post. It would start a whole new series of nightmares for him.

Not a nightmare if he's paid for 2 whole games.

Actually, up to the early 1950's I believe (maybe late 1940's) college games were four 10-minute quarters.

No, because I wouldn't work any of the games that were four halves, only the ones that were two quarters.
