Inbounds hand off rules

You could have a player that dove for a loose ball that had not gotten up quickly enough to set up to defend the inbound pass and this would be a huge advantage to the offense. There's nothing in the rulebook called a "courtesy rule". On a board like this, you're going to get a ruling according to the rules in the rulebook. I routinely work youth basketball and have for over 20 years. I administer inbounds according to the rules.
