This is my understanding too. Others have mentioned changing names in the past, but they had to totally redo their name, and their post count was restarted at 1 again.....

It would be a fairly trivial thing to do for someone with direct access to the database....but it would be a manual change.

By the letter of the rule the play seems to qualify as a double dribble violation. However, by the spirit and intent of the rule, I don't believe that it does.
