Technically speaking, it appear that you have found a hole in the rules since a fumble is something that occurs when someone is holding the ball. I think it is safe to say that the intent is to consider the dribble to have ended when another player touches an interrupted dribble. Consider it a pass if necessary, but the dribble has ended.
