You're posting that on the wrong thread, truerookie. This one is just asking if there should be a T because team B left before the FTs...

Rule 10-4-4.

What do you people intend to do if someone on team A gets a technical foul before A1's FT's are shot? Who are you going to get to shoot the FT's for the "T" if team B is in the dressing room?

Keep both teams on the court in their bench areas until the half is over.

I agree TOTALLY that we need to keep the players/coaches on the floor until the throws are over. The OP said they left and wanted to know if it warranted a "T".

To answer your question if for some reason "A" gets a "T" before their last free throw then I would send game management back to get the team and bring them back out to shoot the "T" penalty.

He let them go to the LR, shot the FT's with the lane cleared, which is what I would have done as well. He only asked cuz the coach of the team shooting the FT's was going nuts saying they couldn't leave the floor.

In all seriousness the team shouldn't be able to leave the floor without one of the officials noticing that they are leaving.

If you notice the team is starting to leave then don't admin. the throw, stop the team and bring them back. Better yet the reporting official could report the foul and quickly explain to the offending team's coach that his players must stay on the floor as the quarter won't be over until after the FT's.
