The location with regard to the date line may determine what time it is on the westernmost islands in Alaska, but the fact that they lie west of the 180 degrees longitude makes them in the eastern hemisphere, and thus the furthest east of all points American. Since they don't jig jag the longitudinal coordinates....

It's still a violation, we're just not sure what time it happened.
