Regarding restrictions on players in marked lane spaces entering the lane, I'm 99% positive it was "release" in 1996-97, went to "hits" in 1997-98, and went back to "release" in 2014-15.

I'm pretty sure that I had another "hit" period in my forty year career, possibly sometime before 1996-97 (I go back to 1980-81, unfortunately my rulebooks don't).

Was there a previous "hit" period during the Cretaceous Period (1980-81 to 1995-96)?
