Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. is self-quarantining and social-distancing in his 1950's bomb shelter and can't make it up to is attic library.

Here's what I've discovered, as told by the oral traditions of grizzled veteran officials to young'uns while sitting around a blazing campfire.

1981: Revised free throw restrictions to allow leaving marked lane spaces when ball is released.

1993: Players along lane may not break plane of free throw line until ball hits backboard, etc.

1996-97: Restricted movement on free-throw lane until ball touches ring or backboard.

2014-15: Players in marked lane spaces will be able to move into the lane when the ball is released by the free-throw shooter.

Here's a family portrait of the DeNucci family discovered on the walls of a cave in Lascaux, France.

While enjoying their usual Sunday family dinner of Wooly Mammoth and ... well, just Wooly Mammoth, they're discussing the "change in status" rule.

Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. likes his Wooly Mammoth medium-rare and likes to eat it with two hands.
