In watching many of your state tournament games last year, many of your officials were already doing this, so I guess its already been part of the "while in rome" practice.

It's interesting you say that. After filling in early in the season with one of the guys that worked the state semis 3A game last year, he was doing this. He's been around a long time and I learned a lot in that one game so I started trying a few things he was doing. I did two handed reporting for exactly one game after that. There was an evaluator there that night who asked me what in the world I was doing. I sheepishly told him why, and he told me to put a quick end to that new habit. Mixed signals but what could I do?
