This is for the NCAA Women's officials out there. When using the new reporting technique, at what level are your hands? In the past, we always had our hand at about shoulder level. Is that how you're doing two-hand? Or do you put it higher?

I use somewhere around shoulder to face high, about shoulder width.

How much higher are you talking about? Unless you're vertically-challenged and need to put them over your head just to get them up to table height...

I've heard the lady officials have been going above there head for reason unknown, but I was always taught that you report in your "window" which is as low as your shoulder and high as the top of your head and no wider than your shoulders.

The height of your hands hasn't changed. We just use both when necessary. I have actually found it to be very helpful in louder gyms this season.

Have you ever watched the NBA officials report? That is exactly what they do. This is where this reporting style came from anyway (WNBA and NBA influence all through NCAA Women's mechanics). I am sure they are just modeling after what the NBA teaches their officials.

Peace
