But many of the lurkers don't know that there are multiple rule sets - they'll see an answer and assume it applies everywhere. Is it somehow a crime to remind them that rule applies to that reule set?

If you're trying to avoid confusing people, how about specifying FED rules when appropriate, not high school rules? In my state, as well as a few others, high school rules means OBR with a few modifications.

It's not a weasel - I try to educate and in doing so it's necessary to indicate that there are different rule sets. The BRD exists because there are so many differences.
Or do you prefer having coaches in the dark so you can riducule their lack of knowledge?
