I think there is always something to be said for studying the behavior and tendencies of the coward before he is forced to go off back to his little coward life.

Even cowards of the highest quality.

Not all of us have the ability to suspend or remove a poster.

I'd shoot right back at you and say that some of the members need to do a better job of just ignoring the person in question. It would make the moderating job a lot easier.

But don't click on it. He collects IP addresses.

He's been here before.

I'm off to do something real umpires do on Friday nights.

Call a great game in preparation for the 31Oct opener. Life is grand.
What October 31st opener? Is this a fall league you call?

I read your posts about youth baseball umpiring. Are you suggesting that umpires who do Little League games are on a higher moral ground than those who do adult baseball?

That is the indication I got. Why people cannot do adult baseball without being stigmatized for it is an enigma to me. Do what you enjoy. No point in working kiddieball if you hate doing it. Same goes for adult elite leagues.

To me, if you umpire baseball, you are a brother in blue. I don't care if you do Kiddie ball or HS or college or whatever. If you can do the job, you have my respect and support.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that it's not worth worrying about what level you do and what level is "better". If it's fun, then it's fun. Baseball Ontario has great level 4 (national) and 5 (international) umpires. But it also has many excellent level 3 umpires, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Strange

Higher Quality, what level of ball are you going to work 10/31, and where. You might want to give us some kind of idea of your credentials

It's that level of ball that's in a better state than yours, and at least one or two levels higher than whatever you're calling. So, he won't tell you what level until you state a level that he can one-up with his bu!!sh!t story.

Why should we have to ignore him when he comes here and summarily denegrates the membership of this forum, Bob?

Since you're shooting at me, I'm inferring that I don't sufficiently ignore his posts. On the contrary, I haven't responded to one.

If you're not shooting at me, well, why shoot that comment at me? I don't control other members.

I've got plenty of folks on my ignore list. But don't you think we should distinguish between run-of-the-mill dodos that we should ignore and posters who systematically disrupt the forum to no good purpose?
