Even Nancy gets one right once in a while. Try to go with it....now breathe in and breathe out.........

FWIW, A-Rod is a disgusting person overall. It's pretty bad when even the majority of your own team's fans can't stand you.

I saw that pitch, and it didn't touch anything but bat.

Great thing about opinions is that they aren't facts. I'm pretty sure Yanks fans, in fact i I know, that the majority of them are okay with the guy. For now. At least he has a shred of honesty in him, even if it is just a public relations policy.

Okay with him. For now. A shred of honesty as a PR ploy. Oh yeah, that's a ringing endorsement!

McCarver is a buffoon

I never agree with this maroon. He says during a the game this weekend, "Boy, the catcher (Molina) is sure doing a good job of keeping the pitch out of the center of the plate"? I thought the pitcher was throwing the ball?? What the Hell is this supposed to mean? Everyone knows the catcher sets up inside, outside ect. This guy has to have something on someone, or he would not be doing these games. Isn't there someone else who can do better at talking stupid?

So, you don't think that McCarver knows much about catching, huh?

He played the position at the major league level in four decades, is a two time all star, and was the personal catcher for Steve Carlton when he played for the Phillies. In St. Louis, he was Bob Gibson's favorite catcher. If McCarver says something about catching, it's a safe bet that he's right. It's rules and umpiring that he has a problem with.

Now you say he doesn't know anything about catching? Hey, you have to give him at least that.

But according to Bob Gibson, the only thing McCarver knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

That's why he thinks that the catcher arranges where the pitch will end up.

Sounds suspiciously similar to quote by Jim Palmer:

"The only thing Earl (Weaver) knows about big-league pitching is that he couldn't hit it." - Jim Palmer

That is beautiful ... a shred of honesty as a PR ploy! I love that. Maybe even as much as you did.
