Excellent Job!

I had a game the other night. When the men in blue walked onto the field, I recognized one of them as a guy who I have had many times in the past and the other as a guy I had never seen before. It was raining lightly throughout the game and both team's pitchers were struggling to throw strikes. Both guys did an excellent job. The BU (who I had seen before) had several close plays and seemed to get them all correct (some my way, some the other). The PU did a great job handling several pitchers who were struggling and getting frustrated with themselves. Had the players on both teams done as well as the umpires, the games would have been a 1-0 affair that took 1:30. Instead it was a 13-10 final score that lasted 2:58.
