I wasn't there and I am not privy to your history with these coaches. However, I can't understand why any umpire would eject a coach for saying, "Hey Blue, you've gotta help your partner." Why is that offensive or unsportsmanlike? It is not even evidence of gamesmanship.
Based on just what you've provided, you over reacted. I wouldn't worry about it though.

Sorry to see that Stevie the Wonder isn't umpiring this year. What happened? Somebody steal your LeCar with your LeEquipment.
That's funny. Your partner should have ejected him when the coach charged him. I wouldn't have ejected for the comment from the dugout, let him blow off steam.

Of course you would have...they don't get to talk back in Tee ball.

Tuss - as many have said you may have over reacted to the comment, but let it go, like PWL said - learn from it.
Personally, I think BU should have dumped him for charging out there. I won't talk to a coach that comes out "like a bullet from a gun." Especially if it was an assistant - as he runs out there I'll show him where the gate is and he can keep on running to the parking lot. I just turn and walk away. They can approach me "correctly" and we can discuss the play. The way you've described it warrents no discussion on my part. JMO |
