Started last night

1st MS game of the season last night. Man the IESA starts early. I love MS V'ball. It's just so much fun. Had a first. Tiny gym.. and I mean tiny. During TO lady two rows up asks, "Sir, how many fouls does a team get?" I look at her a little confused and asked, "What do you mean?" She points to scoreboard and says, "It shows one foul on each team." I look up, smile and reply, "Look belowe the number. See the word won? That shows how many games each team has won." She blushed. I love MS VB.

My partner was up in the seventh grade IESA match last night. Before the match started, she made the mistake of asking the coaches if we had to play three games no matter what (some conferences require that, or at least they have in the past). Naturally the coaches did not know, but wanted to play three anyway. I bailed us out by saying no, but looked like the bad guy in doing so. I likened it to finishing seven innings of baseball, and then playing three more for the heck of it.

Indiana jr high used to have a neat thing. If the team won the match in 2 games, they played a 10 minute running clock free sub game so that the reserves got playing time they normally would not have. It was kinda neat and fun. I also liked their warm ups... 5 -5 play.
