IDK, there are probably a few umpires that would have had the 3rd base coach for assisting a runner when it looked like he may have touched her helmet. But it is all still bullshit. Put a damn sub in and run the bases.

As I read the story, the defensive players understood the option available to the offensive team. They just thought the player hitting the home run, given her pre-AB physical circumstances, deserved the chance to touch all the bases - which make it an even more feel-good story for the media.
