Fair enough it does say impede. But I would argue that the defense is not impedeIng since they are helping BR do what she wants to do: namely advance.
Hypopathetical...
Pitcher and catcher lift the runner, carry her to first, second, and then at third don't lower her enough to touch third, and then carry her home. And then appeal the miss at 3rd.
Now that's just mean!!

Seriously if the defense wants to allow the incapacitated BR to score IMO she should have a legal way to do so.
