I had a plate umpire burn me like that one time. 3-2 count, I'm in "A", pitch comes in, batter makes some bat movement....and partner comes up with a big point right at me (well, actually at first base)...because he called it a ball.
What really sold it to me was that this was one of those guys who liked to announce pitch locations. So, along with his big point to first, he was saying, "That's too LOW". Combined with the point, the LOW sounded like GO, as in, "Did she GO?". I rang her up!
