And what if it was a skull cap? Is that any better? And while we're at it, what makes a bandanna a bandanna? The design? The color?

These things have come up recently between umps and coaches and I'm straddling the fence. I personally don't care unless it is "bandanna" related (gang colors??), and even then I find it to be something I enforce because I'm told to. I wrote my state interpreter today and I'd like to throw it out to you guys. What do you think?
as "just plain cloth"
Not allowed if it has a knot, is a violation of school uniform colors (3-2-7), is "brightly colored" (bandanna definition), or interferes with the safe wearing of the helmet.
Probably to be ignored.

Wow, and I thought I was anal Okay, I heard all that laughing!

If I cannot see it, how do I know it is there? And no, I'm not going to go looking for it.

No worries... the opposing coach will be sure to point it out!

Me either.
Only point I was trying to make was that their rule set leaves no question as to whether or not the type of head coverings discussed in the OP are allowed.
