women's plate shoes

Mrs Okla21fan is shopping around for plate and base shoes. Problem is finding any shoes that will fit her (she can find shoes, but when ordering, usually they don't have her size in stock)

she wears a size 4 1/2 in mens.
and a size 6 in womens

Any help on places to find shoes that small? Anybody have female umps on their crew that might be of help?

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure we discussed this a year or two ago. Try a search on "female"

Not from me. But even a year (or more in your premise) that info is out of date. Suppliers do changed and 'two years ago' this was not an issue.

just asking for a bit of help,if you can even link an 'old' link, have at it.

thanks in advance

I am a female ump, and I found a pair of Sketcher steel toe work shoes that I use as plate shoes, since I also had trouble finding plate shoes small enough to fit. I purchased these at a hunting/sporting goods store owned and operated here locally, but maybe she can find something like that there.

Thanks for the headsup on the Sketchers. While doing some searches we also found these Converse shoes. (both her and I have worn a similar model converse before and while they are not the best, at least they have them in her size.)

women's shoes

you might wanna give these a try:

Carolina Women's Slip Resisting Athletic ST | TheShoeMart

they are steel toed, real leather, no white to sharpie black. seems they outa yer size , but these can be had rather cheap since that online retailer offers free shipping and always offers an additional 15%-20% off w/ a coupon code. other online retailers sell that shoe as well.

Carolina CA1555 - Free Shipping & Return Shipping - Shoebuy.com

there's no met guard, but you could prolly buy two cheap diamond throat guards (the long ones perhaps) and use the laces to position them on top.

or, go for a metguard boot like this:

You might want to try Sears - they carry black "sneaker" shoes for UPS drivers etc. that have steel toes

Be careful - ensure the steel toe top won't cause irritation on the top of your feet on those quick stops we make

good luck
