More stupid jewelry

Kind of funny NFHS Vollyball rules (written by the same folks) clearly require that all particapants be free of jewlery before the pregame warm-ups or else the team is charged with the penaty (a time out).

NFHS Basketball Rules are the same as Volleyball Rules. Jewelry can not be worn during warm-ups.

Went to the dictionary and looked up Jewelry, ring, ear ring, bracelet all four have either "worn for personal adornment or worn as an ornament" in the definition.

The definition of Barrette "a clip for holding the hair back"

STOP the propagation of this Umpire myth.

It is almost as bad as the coach is not allowed to talk to the pitcher in fair territory between innings without burning a time out

Perhaps you need to read the NFHS definition of jewelry instead.

However, as I said in the other forum, I'm seriously tempted to make myself more consistent with umpires in general by ignoring the jewelry rule altogether.

NFHS Rule 3-2

ART. 12 . . . Players in the game are prohibited from wearing jewelry such as rings, watches, earrings, bracelets, necklaces (including cloth or string types), barrettes or other hard cosmetic or decorative items....

Hmmm... did you notice the part I posted in bold?
