Charged Conference

We have an injury time out. BR and F4 collide right at 1B. Both players hit the ground hard, the BR doesn't get up right away, partner who is BU calls time.
So the player takes a couple of minutes and is good to go. During this time out the DC is talking to the pitcher in the circle. I then tell the DC we are ready to go.

He replies "We have a time out ". The tone and body language were that of "I'll let you know when I'm ready."

I then asked him if he wanted a conference. He tries to get a little lippy but I tell him time to play ball coach then turn and start heading back towards home. I get to the plate area, turn around and he's moving to the dugout. So I have a no harm no conference at this point.

On my way back to the plate area I thought to myself if he's still out there when I get to the plate area he gets a charged conference....

What say you ?

Well all coaches will probably wait til you turn around - so I would turn around and hesitate. Its already an injury time out and no sense in picking a booger. If you turn around, give him a "look back rule second"..then obviously you have to charge him. My bet is after the second he's moving back.

yeah well... you could go this route...
Thanks for reminding me coach, I mean since I called the timeout and all. (not like the coach was trying to show you up or anything with his tone and attitude..not at all)...sigh I need some sleep.
