Charged Conference

We have an injury time out. BR and F4 collide right at 1B. Both players hit the ground hard, the BR doesn't get up right away, partner who is BU calls time.
So the player takes a couple of minutes and is good to go. During this time out the DC is talking to the pitcher in the circle. I then tell the DC we are ready to go.

He replies "We have a time out ". The tone and body language were that of "I'll let you know when I'm ready."

I then asked him if he wanted a conference. He tries to get a little lippy but I tell him time to play ball coach then turn and start heading back towards home. I get to the plate area, turn around and he's moving to the dugout. So I have a no harm no conference at this point.

On my way back to the plate area I thought to myself if he's still out there when I get to the plate area he gets a charged conference....

What say you ?
