Why did ASA cut out Umpire rule book?

We all know the only ones that read the rulebook (or know it for that matter )
are the Umpires. What was the reason for stopping the Umpires edition? Was it to save money?I really feel they need to rethink this and bring the Umpire's edition back in 2010. Regardless I re-read the rule book several times during the year and miss the material that the umpires edition gave me. What is your opinion?

I received an Umpire Manual/Umpire Edition of the 2009 ASA rule book when I registered with my local state association.

The only rule book that got cut down was the one that used to have the code in it. It went to teams, commissioners, etc. Now all the extra they get is the whole list of tournaments for this year, next year, and the next year. They have to go online for the code.

And no, I don't know why treehugging got fashionable in OKC...

Maybe it is because they wanted to protect their tree.

Ummm....obviously you aren't from around these parts, or you wouldn't have found that all that funny. Have you ever seen what Texans and Oklahomans call trees? In the Carolinas they are often referred to as bushes.

The ASA treehugging is their community service project to save the environment since the teams are metal hoarding.

My mom is from Kansas, and my older sister I spent SEVERAL summers out there as a kid, visiting grandma/grandpa, so my sis and I came up with this: In Kansas, wherever they find more than two trees in one place, they put a fence around it, and call it a park....
