Force Out Question.

I believe this has been discussed before, but want to be sure of the call.

ASA 14U Rec Ball.

R1 on 2nd, R2 on 1st. Batter hits 2 hopper to F6, who fields the ball cleanly. R1 has taken about 4 or 5 running steps and see F6 field the ball and returns to 2nd, R2, who is about half way to 2nd sees R1 return and stops. F6 tags R1 and then steps on the bag.

The call was R1 is out, even though she is on the bag, because she is forced to vacate the base. R2 is out due to the force play. Am I correct in my thinking?

If F6 had steped on the bag first and then taged R1, R1 would have been safe because the force of R2 would have relieved R1 from vacating the bag. Is this correct?
