Force out
NFHS FP. 2 outs R1 on 1st base, batter swings at third strike. Catcher drops the pitch. B/R starts to run to first base. Catcher throws to 2nd base and shortstop steps on the bag for a force play. Unpire rings R1 up. Is this a force at second or does she have to tag her?

Another: 2 outs & bases loaded. Dropped third strike, catcher picks up the ball and steps on home plate. Three outs.

When a B becomes a BR, it doesn't matter how. Any B becoming a BR by any means forces whatever runners would be forced by a batted ball. For that matter, an unforced runner can be tagged out as well.
