I worked year round when I was in Tampa, FL in the 90s. I could pretty much work every night of the week, Mid-January through Mid-November, if I wanted to. Nov-Jan seemed to be the Thanksgiving/Christmas breaks. During the week, it was ASA ball with the Hillsborough County Umpire's Association. See http://www.hcuasoftball.org/.

On weekends, I was either busy with Little League Ball with "Triangle Umpire's Association", or about ten weekends out of the year, I would travel an hour south to Sarasota to do NSA tournament ball. Big tournaments with 7 to 10 fields going from Friday through Sunday afternoon. I would get about a dozen games and they would supply the hotel room. My contact for both Little League and NSA was Mel Pace, [email protected].

Those are my plans for when I turn 59½ and can start hitting that 401-k money.
