Appropos of my hang up at the start of the thread, this was not a triple play on appeal because the ball was still live and these were regular force outs. It's just your regular 7-2-9 triple play.

No, that's my point, these were not appeal plays. Irish tagged third base with a live ball before the runner from 2nd reached 3rd base. That's a regular force out. The one at 2nd was also a regular force out. The one at first would be if the definition of force out weren't screwy.
