I find the need to constantly log into the app annoying as well. I don't have an answer for you.
I sent an email to [email protected] saying that if they were going to require authentication on the app so often, they could at least incorporate FaceID on iOS and whatever the Android equivalent is so I can pull the rule book up quickly on the field if I needed to have a conference with a coach without having to dig into my password manager app too. To their credit, they actually responded that they have taken that suggestion under advisement.
