Basic Spot
Watching high school football game on TV last night. Game is being played under NFHS rules.
Situation A has ball own 40-yd line 2nd and 10, running play, hand-off to A36, who runs 18-yds for first down, flag is thrown at the snap. Preliminary signal is defense illegal substitution. Where is the basic spot on this one, and what should A do, accept or decline the penalty? I'm pretty sure I know, but want to see what the rest of you have to say. Thanks, Happy Veteran's Day to all Vets, and thank-you for your service and sacrifice. |
