The Play
K punts the ball from their own 45 Yard line. R1 catches the ball on his own 4 yard line and returns the ball to the 11. R2 gives K1 a push in the back at the R35. It is determined that the penalty took place after the kick had ended (during the return). What is the basic spot? What choices (if any) are you giving the K captain?

The fact that the block in the back happened during the return and not during the kick means there is NO PSK. The foul happened in advance of the basic spot which is the end of the run at the 11. The penalty if accepted will be enforced from the 11 (basic spot), it will be 1st and 10 for R at the 5 1/2.

After re reading your post you neglected to say which 11 he returned it to. If he returned it to R's 11 the previous reply was correct, if he returned it to K's 11, the penalty if accepted will be enforced from the spot of the foul, 1st and 10 for R after a 10 yard penalty from the 35 yd line.
