Hm...that's a good question. I don't actually know. Is there an easy way to tell?

I can usually tell the first couple of times in trail to lead transitions.

You could always use Gene Hackman's method.

The distance between the FT circle and center circle is different enough to easily notice visually.

Or, for me, when I take the "usual" number of steps from C to C and I'm not in the right position.

90% of our gyms are also used for volleyball. I can tell by where the end lines are for volleyball in relationship to the free throw lines for basketball. Our gyms are about 50/50 on distance...94 v. 84

I hate short courts. I like to get a workout in when officiating.

I cannot think of many HS courts that are the 94 feet. Then again I do not pay that much attention honestly.

Peace

I only know of one school in our area that has 94' courts. It's a big school with a relatively new building and both of their gyms are 94' courts. The state finals are on 94' college courts. The state playoffs are a mixed bag since they're at neutral sites. Some are at high schools and some are at colleges so you never know what you're going to get.
