Block or Charge? (Video)
By rule, on whom should a foul have been called on this play, white team player or red team player?

Red did no wrong so it can't be his foul but I could see this one being a no call.

If a foul is called it should be on White #24. Red #24 reached that spot on the court first, jumped and was not permitted to land by an opponent who displaced him.

It is nice to see so many officials get this call correct. But no one has said why it is a foul on W24. A fine Cuban cigar (boy I wish I had a Cuban cigar for myself let alone give one out as a prize, ) for the first correct answer.

If it is a foul on W24, it needs to be a PC, because he had possession of the ball when contact occurred. But I'm no-calling that in my games, college or high school.

Red establishes legal guarding position near the division line and then moved legally to maintain his position. Contact occured at his torso, knocking him to ground - white is responsible for the contact.
Then I'm whacking the coach for holding the ball hostage while arguing. |

What did red do wrong here? Nothing. Foul on white.
I would like to see the Trail be a little deeper on this play from the beginning. With two offensive players 40' away from the basket, the pass is more than likely going to go that far back. Had the trail been further back originally, he wouldn't have been running back to the play to make a call. |
