BC violation- throw in
I've tried to find an old post for this situation. First Looking at criteria for BC violation:
1. Team control (and player control first if coming from a throw-in) 2. Ball achieves a frontcourt position. 3. Team in control is the last to touch the ball before it gains a backcourt position. 4. Team in control is the first to touch the ball after it gained a backcourt status. I had this last night... A1 throw-in, in the front court, to A2. Bounce pass in front court caught by A2 who is straddling division line. Partner calls NO violation because A2 is in backcourt when player control is established. I think he made the right call because she had 1 foot in BC. Correct call or does ball touching frontcourt first make it a violation? |

Correct no call.

Thanks guys. Seems like every time I do a grade school game I see things that I never seen before. Then I start second guessing myself. But in some ways seeing rare things (and I've seen plenty in grade school games) helps me to stay sharp by checking this forum and/or the book. At the same time I should not "over think" some of the situations.
