True so if you had a guy that was automatic from the line you would perhaps prefer to be down by 1 then tied.

I was saying in the event of the T being given you would prefer to be down one then tied. Of course you wouldn't want to be down one and hope for the T.

The proper wording to use is "than tied," not "then tied."
