So, if the team is leading by 1 and the coach is whacked after the buzzer, the free throws are part of the 4th, and his team can lose in regulation.
But if the game is tied and the coach is whacked after the buzzer, the free throws are part of OT, so his team can't lose in regulation. Strange but true, right? |

The proper wording to use is "than tied," not "then tied."
