How do you continue?

Billy, you might want to check with your state first, before it happens.

I figure that the remaining coach, and athletic director (faculty manager, site director) will already know what to do. Add my partner into the mix, and we'll come up with a rational decision to continue, or not. We could also make a quick call to my assigner (retired teacher, still coaches soccer, and golf).

In a few more years, when I retire from the wonderful world of chemistry, I plan to make myself available to work those midafternoon middle school, and freshman, games. Now, there's where we could run into some "lack of coaches" problems, and I'll be sure to find out the "real" rule, if, indeed, one such rule exists here. Most of the high schools here have paid, and volunteer, coaching staffs that would rival any professional football team.
