Is boosting allowed?
Probably very rare occasion would such thing happen.
But is there any rule to prevent teammates from doing the following? 1.Act as a stepping stone for a teammate to step on him for a boost to jump higher like using a knee + hand for a boost. 2.Hug his teammate so his teammate remains airborne. Or boost whether for offense or defense. 3.Carry his teammate who is holding the ball around the court without his teammate dribbling. 4.Hands on teammate's shoulder using it as a boost. 5.Jumping over a teammate or defender without contacts. |

Yes. It's a technical foul under NFHS/NCAA rules and is a simple violation under NBA rules.

Read the thread too quick...5 would be legal under any rule set.

Yeah, a person's eyesight should not have bearing on the legality of a play.

Don't Be A Plumber ...
... and you didn't "like" the video that I posted? It was, after all, on topic.

What I want to know is where is the lead official? Or any official for that matter. They must both be back rolling around on the floor laughing at the play that happened at the other end. Too bad they missed this one.

It's A Cost Cutting Measure ...
No person mechanics. The NFHS, and IAABO, will be publishing their newest manual soon, it's in its final draft.

must be down with the other 2 red team players who never made it down the court. Actually, my bet is on intra-squad scrimmage. And for what it's worth, I would have pushed the "like button" on this post
