Ahhh the infamous 2 on 5 game....
Friday night I had a 1A GV (our smallest classification) at a small christian school at the edge of our association. Floor was one of those rubbery concrete slab floors and it just kills your feet. Combined record of both teams was something like 3-20....ugh....
So the home team only has 5 players and only 2 of those players could actually play. halfway through the first quarter my partner and i get together and say i looks like these two players are going to have to do it on their own. Finals score 40-10...home team. those two players had about 30 of the 40 points with the other 10 coming on some garbage points late. The visiting team? Well they tried hard.... Both my partner and i were a little gimpy after that game. i have had a team with only 5 players before but they lost big...first time i have had a team with only 5 who won.... |

They started with five, and they finished with five. The title is misleading. The OP was trying to say that only two of the five players were any good, yet they still won. As I understand it, no one was disqualified. There was no 2 players versus 5 players; only in the sense that the winning team only had two players who were any good.

Well based on all this, apparently the other team didn't have any who were all that shiny. Not really sure what the point of the thread was. Weak teams are all too common, no matter what the analysis.
