I have no idea what NBA mechanics call for here, so I'm not ctritiquing this official or the crew by any means, but I would like the L to move to closedown with the cutter and his defender as they go away (as the ball is moving that way, too), and then, if not rotating across, at least pinching to give a look at this kind of frontside play/contact as it gets near the basket. I think this is an example of how some officials, in my experience, take the concept of locking down to a potentially negative extreme, rather than going where they need to go to 1) get the best look at a play and 2) put the crew in the best position to officiate all things and the play.
