Most likely b/c an ejection would invoke a suspension while a DQ requires no further action.

I kind of figured that much, but I guess that should be easy. We file what is called a Special Report for any contest that results in an ejection. It is clear to me that a player that has 5 fouls is not ejected from the game. Otherwise if a player or coach gets Ts or is called for a flagrant act, then it is obvious what we have to do as it results in paperwork (and a suspension likely as well).

Peace

So, what happens if a kid has 4 fouls, then mouths off at the ref?

(I know, and I assume you know, but it is the type of question that came up when the policy was put into place here.)

When in doubt, file the paperwork and let the state handle it.

Unless that is a Flagrant foul, then you file no report. The player has 5 fouls. Honestly do not see why that would be hard to understand for anyone that knows the rules?

BTW, that happened to me last year and I did not file a report (for that situation).

Peace
