Chicago Bulls v. Philadelphia 76ers: Jump Ball/Filling In
Was asked to post this. Joe Crawford was caught in a hard place here:

Mounds Or Almond Joy ???
Sometimes you feel like you need two leads, sometimes you don't.

Worked out eventually.
Gives me something to think about if I ever have the same situation on the opening or OT tip.

This would be a good situation, IMO, to pregame....how to handle quick change of possessions before the tosser is able to get into position. Ideally, I think the best way to have handled the situation in the clip would be to have the official at the 28 foot mark become the new lead with the official on the baseline become the new slot/center in transition with the tosser filling in after the players clear.
Still, Eric Lewis and Joe Crawford were eventually able to get themselves situated with no one the wiser.

Looking at the video I would have liked Crawford to stay at C and the third ref fill in at L table side. Lewis looks like he his refereeing a wrestling match trying to move to C. Such a weird play though, and a cluster at one spot, sometimes the best thing is just to get some eyes on the play and hope an obvious call can be made.
