Didn't say you were out of line, but after all the defending of your position that it's completely fine for an official to be focusing on the ball when it's not in his primary, I'm just wondering if anyone's surprised at your reply that 3 whistles was OK on this play.

Dude, I never said FOCUSING on a ball out of your PCA was ok.
If nobody is in your PCA do you referee the paint & lines?
Or is it okay to go referee some players?

Should we have tunnel vision on our PCA?
Or is it okay use our FOV?

You act as if multi-tasking is not a skillset officials should have!

OK, ok... it was an attempt to bring in a little levity based on the previously heated conversation. I see now that it was too personal to you, and I apologize - I can see how this looked like an attack from your side. Sorry about that.

In a Girl's High School game, so much of the offense is geared around getting the ball into the paint, and Coaches/players get so upset when something is missed in the paint, that I always pregame with my P's that the key is everyone's PCA tonight. If you see something in the key, call it. So like I said before - 3 whistles on this play is not that big of a deal.

I digress here somwhat. Pet peeve is the quick whistle, usually in a girls game, where there is no tie up, just a loose ball(I know, "I don't want anyone to get hurt") or one quick tug and defender rips ball from opponent and there is the quick whistle to let everyone know that he's all over the play........aaarghh!
