Splitting Team During Warm Up - Technical?

Red Team is already warming up prior to the game. The locker room door is positioned just off of the baseline, and in line with the sideline extended. As the Blue Team comes out to run the length of the court to their side, half run down the sideline, while the other half run 3 to 4 feet deep of the baseline and down the other side line. They never step onto the court, or interfere with Red Team's warmup.

Technical or not? I cannot find the citation.

Thanks!

Not in my neck of the woods; that'd be a plumber call.

NF 2010-2011 Points of Emphasis 2. Sporting Behavior. Teams entering the gymnasium prior to the contest should not run through the area occupied by the other team or under the basket where opponents are warming up.

Splitting seems to be in violation of good sporting behavior- around here they want us to be on the court 20 minutes before start time to make sure that this type of thing does not happen.

For an NCHSAA game, yes, that's a technical foul. Covered at this year's state rules clinics per the POE above. The team should take the shortest route to their end. Coaches were told the same thing before the season.

Representing plumbers everywhere, that would be nothin'.
Electricians, carpenters, truck drivers, and teachers may differ.

In MA, we're told not to T, but to send a report to the assignor and state office.
